Hungarian Paprika – SZEGED
The paprika that gives goulash its color. Szeged, on the Great Hungarian Plain, has been the heart of Hungarian paprika for generations — a region whose long, sunny summers ripen peppers to the deep red sweetness that defines the country's cooking.
This sweet Hungarian paprika is ground from sun-ripened red peppers into a fine, vivid powder with a rich, mellow, gently fruity flavor and no sharp heat. Bloom it briefly in warm fat at the start of cooking to release its full color and aroma; it tints sauces a glowing red and gives stews, rubs and marinades a warm, rounded depth.
A pantry essential for Central European classics — and a natural partner for paella, roast vegetables and grilled meats.
Perfect for: Goulash, chicken paprikash, stuffed peppers, stews, dry rubs, marinades, deviled eggs, and roasted potatoes.
Origin: Szeged, Hungary Style: Sweet ground paprika Packaging: Tin
Szeged red. Sweet, mellow, unmistakably Hungarian.
